About

I've always wanted to know how things work, and how to make them work better.

My background is in business development, technical sales, strategic planning, and organizational consulting. Alongside that, I've spent more than three decades speaking and teaching in front of groups.

A lot of that work has come down to one skill. Someone hands me complicated information, and I find a way to make it understandable, useful, and something a person can act on. In sales engineering that means explaining fiber infrastructure to a facilities director. In training it means turning an engineering document into a procedure a technician can follow.

That habit carried straight into artificial intelligence. I'm interested in how AI can help people and organizations hold on to what they know, run their processes consistently, produce professional material, and get more out of experience they already have.

Most of what you'll find on this site comes from my own working life. Some of it is knowledge systems and AI tooling. Some of it is technical documentation, product concepts, training, and business process work. I like understanding how the pieces fit together, fixing what isn't working, and turning an idea into something people can use.

Outside of work

Danielle and I have been married for more than thirty-two years. We have four grown children and grandchildren, and we wrote our first book together, Guardrail Parenting. I write a lot, read more than that, and treat learning as a lifelong habit.
